BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH – JANE WATKINS
Jane Watkins, an executive minister for the Community of Christ, is the Mission Center Financial Officer for the Southeast USA Mission Center and Congregational Consultant for the Florida Mission Center. She holds the office of high priest and serves as secretary to the Quorum of High Priests.
Prior to accepting full-time ministry with the World Church, Watkins worked for fifteen years as a medical research grant specialist. She worked for such institutions as the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine in Denver, Colorado, as well as Creighton University and University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Born in Independence, Missouri, Watkins studied liberal arts at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa; Park University in Parkville, Missouri; and Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. Watkins is currently working toward a degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
Watkins enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and meeting new people. She is married to Bob Watkins, Florida Mission Center president. They have eight grown children: John Townley and wife Lisa, Steve and wife Alana, Scott and wife Katie, and Stacy and husband Kevin; and a bichon frise dog named Jasper.
